The term Zeitgeist stands for 'an intellectual fashion or dominant school of thought which typifies and influences the culture of a particular period in time.' In my opinion we as a human race are often ignorant of the importance of nature living in an urban environment such as London and working here really helps perpetuate my theme of nature and animals in my illustrations. I think we have a lot to learn from watching and observing the behaviour of wild as well as domesticated animals around us and I want to emphasise with my piece that in the spirit of our time we should realise the importance of letting nature come back into the city more and more rather then creating concrete jungles.
